Week 1: A Parallel Timeline
In a sad-but-almost-normal turn of events, N won his first matchup, and A lost hers. N, with a 147-109 dub, is off to a great start. A is already following a similar trend to last season, with a 109-125 loss.
A - Despite some great performances by Lamar Jackson, Bijan Robinson, DeVonta Smith, and Chris Godwin, it was not enough to combat my cousin. His team was led by Josh Allen, Alvin Kamara, Rashee Rice, and the Browns D/ST. My biggest mistake was starting Evan Engram, who scored a forlorn singular point with the Jaguars. My Chief's D/ST was also a disappointment, though I could've seen that coming since their game was against the Ravens. The Eagles did win though (go birds), so I am not too sad.
N - My team balled out, with 54 points coming from Saquon and Hurts alone. Diontae Johnson was the only one who disappointed, so he will be benched next week. My team dominated my aunt's, who's score wasn't helped by a combined 9 points from Swift, Cooper, and Zuerlein. My best bench player, Ladd McConkey, played well, scoring 14 points which will hopefully only get better from here.
A - I have faith for next week. I am playing my cousin, who has the newly-injured Jordan Love. Jackson, Robinson, and Derrick Henry are projected to play well. Hopefully, the Chiefs D/ST will play better against the Bengals. I am excited to see how Smith plays with the Eagles. Overall, I am looking forward to a close matchup.
N- I am projected to win next week against my cousin, who's team is led by Mahomes, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Cooper Kupp. My team will be the same apart from Ladd McConkey replacing the disappointing Diontae Johnson. My team is looking good, and I am hoping for a good game (I'm just happy football is back).
Thanks for reading, and we hope you tune in next week!
