Week 14: A Loss and a Win

Week 14 brought N's fifth win and A's eleventh loss of the season. A's season is so bad it is almost impressive, and this week's loss was not a different story than usual. N had a fantastic game, crushing the second-to-last-place team in a thrilling victory.

A - I lost by 50 points to my aunt. My bench scored almost as many points as my starting lineup, thanks to Lamar Jackson's 39-point game. I started Brock Purdy this week, who ended with 26 points. Having two quarterbacks to choose from has been a major stressor this season. Besides Purdy and the Bengals D/ST, no one on my team played great. This did not help when playing my aunt, who totaled 145 points with Deebo Samuel and Rachaad White dominating this week.

N- Contrary to A's 50 point loss, my team dominated by 56 points. One of my highest total points of the year, my 151 points had contributions from pretty much every player on my team. I had 5 players score 20+ points, and only two score less than 10. My opponent's team struggled, with is best player only scoring 18. DJ Moore had another great game, and even though Amon-Ra St. Brown struggled, my receivers played well overall.

A - Brock Purdy's 26 points secured him the MVP spot this week. He threw for 368 yards with two touchdowns in a win against the Seahawks. Thanks to his incredible season (plus a little help from the players around him), the 49ers are now ranked first in the NFL with a 5-week winning streak. I think they are in a great position for the playoffs, and have a good chance at seeing the Superbowl (but still go Birds).

N - My MVp this week is the Chicago Bears' DJ Moore. He had 2 touchdowns this week in an upset win against the Lions. This is now three straight games of 20+ points, showing how reliable he is and that he is a force to be reckoned with at the receiver position. Amon-Ra St. Brown has now had back to back bad weeks, which is very surprising if you take into account his previous 10 games.

A - I face the best team in the league next week: my dad. His team has both Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott, two great quarterbacks this season. The rest of his team features Christian McCaffery, Evan Engram, Tony Pollard, and one of my favorite Eagles players: Dallas Goedert. I think it would be both amazing and hilarious if I beat him. I also would love to make it to 3 wins. It is very fitting that the best and worst teams are playing each other in the last matchup of the regular season.

N - Next week I have another bye, which means I will not play another regular season game this year. I am also eliminated from the playoffs, so the only other game(s) I will play this year are in the toilet bowl as I watch the top 4 teams battle it out for first place.

We will be back with A's results next week -- the last week of the season before playoffs!
