Week 9: No Wins

N's bye week came at a good time and A couldn't need a bye week more at this point in the season.

N - My bye week came at a fantastic time, as my team struggled mightily and I had many players on bye as well. Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown, two of my best players, both had a bye and my QB, Justin Fields, got another week to recover from his injury. This leads to next week when I can hopefully have a healthy team with no byes.

A - Okay so I had another rough week. The most unfortunate part is that it was my father who beat me. I had to watch almost all my players win their games, but score as few points as possible. Take Lamar Jackson, for example. He led the Ravens to a 37-3 win against the Seahawks and yet, only scored 11 points. Or Travis Kelce, who scored his season-low of 4 points against Miami. I know it is expected that I lose, but it's still painful every time.

N - Although I didn't play anyone this week, my MVP was Baker Mayfield. His 22 points led my team, and as my backup QB, he did really well. This bodes well for the future of my QB spot, especially if Justin Fields continues to stay unhealthy.

A - My MVP this week was Dalton Schultz, scoring a season-high 27 points in Houston's win against Tampa Bay. Again, it would be lovely if my players could play well during the same week...

N - Next week I play my 5-3 cousin on a 4-game win streak. His best player, Justin Jefferson, may or may not play this week, which may determine the outcome of this matchup. I'm gonna need a huge game out of my guys to pull this one off, and maybe start the comeback to the playoffs.

A - I am facing off against my cousin next week, who is 2-6. Although this sounds promising, I am already projected to lose thanks to a Chiefs (and thus a Kelce) bye. At this point, I have a 1% chance of making the playoffs (woohoo!) and am really just having a good time watching football from my couch every weekend. Long live NFL RedZone!

Thanks for reading, and check back next week to witness another A loss and an N win!
