Week 8: Some Wins, Some Losses

A good win for N gets him to 3-5, the same record as the Broncos, as A loses once again and falls to 1-6. Also, a quick shoutout to the Broncos who beat Patrick Mahomes for the first time ever! And another dub for the Eagles in the books!

N - I had an overall good week, with good performances from my backup QB who got the starting job this week as well as other positions such as my defense. I am still hoping Justin Fields can recover and take the starting job on my team back. Other guys on my team are proving to be consistently solid, which is really important in Fantasy Football (A should take notes).

A - That was simply uncalled for, N. It is not my fault that Lamar Jackson had a 40-point game last week and a 13-point game this week. It is also not my fault that Taylor Swift has been determining how well Travis Kelce performs. I clearly need to support this relationship to the fullest to better my Fantasy team. Overall, my team didn't do great, but I also played a tough team. The final score was 104-141. Facing the Tyreek Hill - Jaylen Waddle duo is tough luck when they both score 25 points against the Patriots. I'm beginning to think that I should redraft my team to be full of players on the opposing team to the Patriots every week.

N - My MVP was Lions' rookie Jahmyr Gibbs, who has had back-to-back breakout games after David Montgomery got hurt. He is showing his absolutely amazing potential in the NFL, and carrying my fantasy team while he's at it. I believe he will be a top 5 running back for the rest of the season. I would like to give an honorable mention to Austin Ekeler, who had almost 100 receiving yards as a running back.

A - My MVP is actually Gabe Davis from the Buffalo Bills this week. Despite having a quiet season thus far, he scored 23 points against Tampa Bay on Thursday night. Josh Jacobs of the Las Vegas Raiders also did well, scoring 16 on Monday to get me over the 100-point mark (which I believe is a sign of a decent score). My go-tos, Keenan Allen and Travis Kelce did not perform up to par this week, so maybe next week will be their week. Hopefully, next week will be everyone's week.

N - Next week I have a bye, so I will stick to the sidelines and watch A lose once again. I can now watch the NFL games this week stress-free, not cheering for any particular players or teams, since the Broncos are also on bye.

A -  I play my dad next week, who is 5-2 with Jalen Hurts, Tony Pollard, and Breece Hall. I am not sure how hopeful I can be, as I am projected to win most of the time and yet never pull through. Fingers crossed though, because beating my dad would be very exciting.

A's season is crumbling around her, but N hopes he can make a comeback and sneak into the playoffs. Thanks for reading, and come back next week!
